Welcome to Columbia State Community College and the Student Development and Academic Success Center’s “Right Start” program.

The Academic Success Center and the Student Development Department will be conducting required Orientation and Right Start Advising sessions throughout the upcoming spring and summer months.

A schedule of dates, times and campus locations are listed below.

It will be to your advantage to sign up for a group session as soon as possible. These advantages include:

Ø       Better class and campus selection

Ø       Personal attention from a knowledgeable advisor

Ø       Information you need to know about the college

Required Orientation and Right Start Advising Sessions.  You may sign up for a session at any location, regardless of the campus you will be attending.

Parents/Guardians are always welcome but are not required to attend.

It is preferred that you attend one of the orientation and advising sessions above. However, if you cannot attend, you may complete the Orientation online at www.columbiastate.edu/student-services/orientation.  Be sure to print off the confirmation when you are finished. You will need to bring it with you to your advising session.  Call one of the following number’s to schedule an appointment with an advisor.

Remember:  The earlier you register the better!  Also keep in mind that it may take time to get an advising appointment so it would be to your advantage to register for one of the scheduled sessions listed above!
